Set in the year 1999, the story follows ten-year-old Conner Sampson. On the surface, Conner is just a regular kid trying to navigate fourth grade, but inside, his brain is a non-stop "what if" machine.

* And, naturally, what if the new millennium actually means robots take over the world?!

Conner just wants to fit in, but it's hard when every little thing sparks a brand-new worry. This journey is loosely based on my own experience growing up—feeling like every small event held a massive, secret anxiety.
